Az alpaka főbb fertőző betegségei

Az alpakák (Vicuna Pacos) Dél-Amerikából származnak, ahol főként gyapjújukért tartják őket. Napjainkban a világon szinte mindenhol találhatunk alpakát, Afrikában, Ázsiában, Európában. Magyarországon is egyre több tenyésztő kapcsolódik be a tenyésztésükbe.
Meghatározó szerepe van az állategészségügynek a szaporaság és gyapjútermelés színvonalában. Ezek az állatok alapvetően ellenállóak a betegségekkel szemben, mégis fontos megismerni milyen betegségekre érzékenyek, mely viselkedés utal rá, hogy beteg az állat és azonnali állatorvosi segítségre van szüksége. Így megelőzhetjük, hogy más állatok is elkapják a fertőzést és csökkenthetjük a veszteségeket.
Az alábbiakban néhány olyan betegség olvasható, mely kérődző állatok esetében nagy egészségügyi kockázattal jár, és az alpakák is fertőződhetnek vele.
