We are talking more often and with more and more commitment about the intrinsic development of reading incentive, and there has been ever-increasing emphasis on the development of raising interest in reading since the last decade as well. Besides the development of reading skills and the functional factors influencing reading abilities, the development of reading experience also got an important role during the past decades. We can realize it more and more frequently that reading means a learning process and an emotional state at the same time from the beginning phase of learning reading, namely an interactive process between the reader, the text read and the context. Due to this fact a crucial outlook has been born: an important role has to be attributed to the topic used for the teaching of reading even in the phase of learning to read. It is equally important to pay attention to the topic of the texts used for the teaching of reading even at the beginning of learning to read besides the carefully chosen method of learning to read: reading may become a positive psychological process if the readers (in case of the present context the beginner readers between the age group of six-eight) practise reading through topics close to their interest. From this respect the present examination paid attention to the favourite reading and the attributes of the animated films of students between the age group of six-eight so as to reveal the favourite stories of the beginner readers. The examination has analysed the favourite types of reading and animated films, the categories and motifs of the favourite reading topics and animated film topics and the types of heroes of favourite reading and the animated films of students between the age of six-eight from the point of view of reading and animated films. Altogether 267 students took part in the examination, who were interviewed individually with the help of semi-structured interviews. The study presents the answers given in the form of empirical data analysis. With the help of the results we can get, or create those stories for the students whose heroes, motifs of the plot
are identical with their field of interest.
