Abstract

The editors in their examination compared the slaughtering characteristics of Hungarian merino and He de france sheep with their S/EUROP qualification results. They established that the presently used qualification system is well useable for judging the commercial value of a carcass, and at the same time they call the attention to mistakes. They suggest, a new more objective method of elaboration and introduction.
