Abstract

In this paper I follow the interaction of nature and man in the Southeastern-Völgység through the study of woodcraft goods. I show products made by carpenters and woodcarvers lathe operators and clog-carvers in three villages: Zsibrik, Ófalu and Bátaapáti. In order to discover the connections of inhabitants with this landscape I also deal with reason and circumstances of production.
