Abstract

Post-harvest losses caused by plant pathogens, both in general and during transport, are a major economic problem. Symptoms of fruit rot, caused by pathogens, are often observed in supermarkets. Importing fruits could be a pathway for pests and pathogens to enter a new region. We aimed to identify the pathogens introduced into Hungary through the fruit trade of bananas and mangoes. We confirmed the presence of Colletotrichum and Fusarium species in the fruits.
