Abstract

The sperm conservation of livestock over a long period of time and the conservation of sperm quality was an important purpose to the animal keepers and breeders. The sperm conservation over a short and a long period of time has become indispensable with the appear and spread of insemination. The freezing changed the cooling and the spermcryopreservation made a fast advance in the second part of the 20th century. The various laboratories made various sperm treatment methods in that the important steps are similar. Engagement of dilution, conditioning, centrifuging, and inert material like glicerol are indispensable. The scientist used better and better freezing and thawing methods. They had to find a solution for the freeze and thaw. For the estimate of sperm viability were evolved different assay methods. They developed several staining techniques that are in use for the vertification of living or died sperm and integrity of sperm acrosome to date. Despite many experiment and research the sperm storage for a long time has not have enough high efficiency but in recent days with the continues research is going on perfection of methods.
