Abstract

It is the demand of EU that the agricultural registering should be based on real data. The examined agricultural enterprise has their agricultural land in the catchment area of Lake Balaton, so the suitable use of land and the nutrient management are essential. With computerising the paper-based field register data we also integrated the lot-level data into an already operating geographic information system. With the help of maps the nutrient management characteristics of certain lots can be clearly seen. As the data cover the whole 2002-2005 period the chronological analysis is also possible. The nutrient management analysis can be done both at lot and farm/factory levels and the areas that need change in the practise could be easily identified. The publication of results via Internet makes it possible for the enterprise management to acces important up-to date data anywhere.
