Abstract

The article discusses the landscape architectural revitalization of Kolosy Square and its surroundings in Budapest, offering solutions to alleviate the square’s traffic issues and restore its community functions. Kolosy Square, located at the border of Districts II and III, serves as an important urban center and transportation hub in Budapest. However, decades of development have increased road traffic, turning the square primarily into a thoroughfare, with public spaces occupied by parked cars and green areas of low quality. The revitalization plan aims to restore the square’s community functions, create green spaces, and reorganize transportation.
