The authors studied the prey selection of „flower crab” spiders in Morocco in the summer of 2013. In the study, the prey sets of two species: the black and yellow crab spider [Synema globosum (Fabricius, 1775)] and the white crab spider (Thomisus onustus Walckenaer, 1805) were investigated and determined. Based on our results so far, the black-yellow species, despite the fact that they are hunting for larger, flower-visiting insects, did not predate any bee species (Apidae) at all. By contrast, 16% of the prey of the white crab spiders were bees.
