A Graphical User Interface for Statistical Evaluation of NIR Spectra

Abstract

R is a free, open-source statistical environment and does not incorporate a statistical graphical user interface. The commands with complex syntax and hundreds of arguments are supposed to be hidden behind an easy to use GUI. The R Commander provides a basicstatistics which was extended by the authors to imlement some functions to analyse NIR spectra and calculate caliration equations using PLS regression. The extensions provides the abilities to read the unique structure input files, graphical prsentation of the spectra and calculating calibrations equations.
