Site selection, store format, customer number, sales and their context in the retail business
Abstract
After the credit rating agencies downgraded Hungary’s credit rating in November 2011 and January 2012 there were many unfavourable effects on the country and its real estate/property market. The efficiency of the commercial property market is furthermore affected by some of the government’s provisions, such as the ‘plaza stop’ or the ‘special tax/solidarity tax’ imposed on retail chains. As a result of the above listed actions it is highly possible that the developers will completely freeze their commercial investments in the coming years.
