About the Journal
Mission statement
Regional and Business Studies is an international, transdisciplinary scientific journal published recently twice a year and contains original scientific reports, research results, critical résumés, conference reviews, and letters to the editors. The topic of the journal includes the important fields of business, rural and regional development, and social sciences.
Subject areas include, but are not limited to:
- Business studies with regional concern
- Management studies with regional concern
- Regional development
- Rural development
- Urban development
- Sustainable development
- Circular economy
- Spatial statistical analyses
- Governance, legislation, and policy for business and regional development
Peer-review policy
This journal operates a double-blind peer review process. As a first step, all contributions are assessed by the Editor for suitability for the journal. After the suitability check paper is sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the quality of the paper. Editors are not involved in decisions about papers which they have written themselves.
Open Access policy
This is an open access journal under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons attribution (CC-BY-NC-ND) license 4.0.
The publication in this journal is free of charge. This journal does not apply submission or publication fee to the authors and Regional and Business Studies (RBS) does not have author processing charge (APC).
Language
The language of this journal is English. Please write your text in good English. Both American and British usage is accepted but should not be mixed.
Publishing ethics
Authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works and it is presented with the intellectual integrity that the scientific community expects. If authors have used the work and/or words of others, these should be appropriately cited or quoted. (For details about citation please visit the submission guideline). Authors should not concurrently submit a paper to more than one journal.
Authors have to declare any conflict of interest.
Authors have to include appropriate funding statements in the manuscript.
The corresponding author should check that all co-authors meet the criteria for authorship and ensure appropriate acknowledgments made in the manuscript.
