Abstract

There are many historical gardens in the Czech Republic but only a few have gone through such a dramatic change in their history as the garden in Ostrov. It’s located in West Bohemia near the bordér with Germany, in an area that is somewhat forgottén bút has significantly valuable history and development. We can find traces of Mannerism, Baroque, and the ígth century. Unfortunately, the contemporary State is a result of the last 40 years and it is impossible to see the splendor of the pást.
