Open Access and Copyright Policy

Open Access Statement

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of Open Access.

Licencing:
The journal operates according to the principles of open access, however, the content is available under the Creative Commons  CC-BY-NC-ND-4.0 license. Under the following terms: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. You may not use the material for commercial purposes. If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material. You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

Self-archiving policy:
The journal 4D Journal of Landscape Architecture and Garden Art allows authors to archive their manuscripts under the following conditions:

  • Preprint (submitted manuscript, prior to peer review): May be archived in the author’s institutional repository or on a personal website.

  • Postprint (peer-reviewed, accepted manuscript, not typeset): May be deposited in open-access repositories with a citation to the official version and a DOI.

    • If a preprint or postprint is shared, authors should indicate that the version is not the final published version.

  • Published version (publisher’s PDF): May be freely archived in any online location (e.g., repository, personal page, research network), provided the following are clearly included:

    • official publication data,

    • citation of the source (4D Journal of Landscape Architecture and Garden Art), and

    • the DOI of the article.

Copyright Policy:
The author retains the copyright of the article but, upon acceptance, grants the publisher a non-exclusive, perpetual license to make the work openly accessible under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.
