Peer Review Policy
Reviewing
Articles for the journal undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Submitted manuscripts will be evaluated by two peer reviewers in an anonymous review process.
The editorial team will maintain a database of the peer-reviewers it employs, including their names, contact details, current workplace, position and academic degree. The editors will provide the opportunity for prospective authors to find out about the journal’s peer-reviewers before submitting their article.
In the case of special issues (thematic volumes), the same double-blind peer review protocol and professional quality control apply as for regular issues, involving two expert reviewers. The final decision on publication is made by the editorial board, even when guest editors are involved. The content of each issue is selected and organized in accordance with specific editorial section guidelines.
Declaration of conflict of interest
Members of the journal's editorial board may appear as authors or co-authors in no more than 25% of the articles published in each issue. This proportion helps maintain editorial independence and ensures authorial diversity.
The Editorial Board is committed to double-blind peer review and to the absence of conflict of interest between author and reviewer in the editing and reviewing of manuscripts submitted by its own editorial board member or by a reviewer of the journal as author or co-author. If the authors of a manuscript include a member of the editorial board, the editor of the current issue of the journal or the journal director, the person concerned will not participate in the editing of the article, and the editorial tasks will be taken over by the other two, so blind peer-review is ensured in this case as well.
In addition, the author(s) of the manuscript and the reviewers of the manuscript must not be employees of the same institution (department).
When submitting their article, authors must declare that they have no financial or personal interest or relationship, i.e. no conflict of interest that might affect the results or interpretation of the research.
