Young People’s Awarness and Oppinion in Relation to Prostitution and Human Trafficking
Abstract
Prostitution and human trafficking is a serious and unfortunately actual problem. It is a complex phenomenon that, as a social conflict, contributes to legal, ethical, psychological, medical, migrational and, last but not least, to pedagogical and educational problems. The problems attributed to the phenomenon can not be solved by taking only legislative and social measures. True prevention and responsibility lies within pedagogy and education. The study gives an overview of a research, that analyses the different pedagogical possibilities and means that enable institutional pedagogy and education to be effectively used in the prevention of human trafficking and prostitution. Apart from the research the essay will also give a short historical overview of the development of prostitution and the social perception of the issue. Last, the study gives and insight into a focus group conversation that evaluates social awareness in relation to the above mentioned topic.
