Detailed description about the 1st Food and Marketing
International Conference

The trends definitely indicates a paradigm shift in consumer behaviour to which enterprises independent of size, profile and geographical location are looking for answers. Our conference hopes to contribute to this and to create a tradition.

This year we are focusing on two areas: promoting innovation and strengthening cooperation in the food chain. The place and the role of innovation in fulfilling consumer needs are evident and involve areas such as education, research, policy making, industry and commerce and reach across borders. Consequently, cooperation between various levels and actors and also within each level is clearly essential and can contribute to success.

The conference consists of two parts; there will be professional presentations in the first part followed by short discussion. We aim to invite high level managers from the public sector and the industry to the plenary sessions who not only meet these challenges during their daily work but also have the opportunity to influence them. In addition, we hope to hear about good practices. In the second part of the conference we are organising a round-table discussion with actors representing outstanding innovation and cooperation activities so that the participants are able to approach the focus topics of the conference from the widest perspectives possible. In this part of the conference the participants of the round-table will include professionals at managerial level from production, processing, retailing, cluster, associations, education as well as the representatives of the media.

We hope to provide an exciting, thought-provoking and informative forum involving both Hungarian and international trends.

We expect approximately 200-250 participants to attend our event including managers, professionals, advisors, members of the academic and public sectors. We will put a special emphasis on media coverage; we are trying to promote the presenters of the conference in as many significant media as possible both before and after conference. During the conference we will have an exhibition in which outstanding food processing companies and enterprises will present their products.
