Mobildiet, új globális értékesítési szisztéma az egészséges táplálkozás, az élelmiszerbiztonság, az élelmiszermarketing és a mobil információtechnika jegyében
Abstract
Technological innovations and developments of the 60s (like the car, television, refrigerator, sugar-sweetened beverages, supermarket culture and marketing) have all contributed to making obesity a public health problem. To help remedy this problem we propose a new IT device (MobileDiet): customers can be informed about the ingredients of food products by decoding the bar code on the packaging with the help of their mobile phones. The device processes the data and based on the body mass index (BMI) and other nutrition-related personal characteristics (e.g. diabetes, food allergy), it makes recommendations for an ideal diet, warns against the foods and ingredients that should be avoided. The device also indicates potential diseases and the expected BMI within specific periods of time, based on the quantity and quality of the food consumed, considering the particular eating habits. As the proposed method rationalizes and simplifies the information flow from farmers to distributors and consumers, it has clear advantages in economic, food safety and national security terms and it also provides benefits for food sciences.Downloads
