About the Journal

Animal Welfare, Etológia és Tartástechnológia journal is an online journal recognised by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Section of Agricultural Sciences. It is published twice a year. The primary language of the journal is Hungarian, but it also publishes scientific articles in Hungarian and English in the fields of animal husbandry, animal breeding, and ethology.

Mission statement

The journal Animal Welfare, Etológia és Tartástechnológia is a scientific journal founded in 2005 and published twice a year. In some cases, it may also appear with special issues. The periodical publishes original scientific publications, research results, reviews and personalities in the field of animal husbandry and closely related disciplines in Hungarian and English.

Review process

The journal is reviewed in a double-blind review process. Submitted manuscripts are evaluated by two professional reviewers in an anonymous review process.

Article Processing Charges (APCs): free of charge. Sumission Charges: free of charge.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
