The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences publishes this scientific, peer-reviewed journal, which features research articles, studies, and conference materials in both Hungarian and foreign languages on animal breeding, feeding, and related agricultural sciences.

Founded:
In 1952 under the title Animal Breeding, later renamed Animal Breeding and Feeding in 1981 at the Gödöllő University of Agricultural Sciences. Subsequent publishers included the Ministry of Rural Development and the Institute for Animal Breeding and Nutrition Research. Until 2025, it was published as the journal of the Ministry of Agriculture under the care of the Herman Ottó Institute.
