Assessment of civil organisations in the light of labour market. Employment policy has become a priority area after the change of political system in Hungary. The emergence of unemployment represents a constant problem to be solved by the state and the competitive sector. The civil sector – as the third operator – appears in solving the problem of employment. It has dual function. On the one hand they are employers, on the other hand they are intermediaries between employers and employees. In both roles their existence is of primary importance from the point of view of the disadvantaged groups in the labour market. Atypical employment is more prevalent in the civil sector. This is a popular form of employment for pensioners, disabled persons and women. As intermediaries civil organisations play an important role in preparing the disadvantaged groups for the world of work, in educating and counseling them. The aim of the study is to highlight the role and importance of civil society organisations at the
labor market.
