Abstract

György Csepeli is a social psychologist, sociologist, doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, professor emeritus of the ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences, head of the PhD Program in Interdisciplinary Social Research of the ELTE Doctoral School of Sociology. His research focuses on topics related to the sociological and sociopsychological study of national identity, prejudice and social inequalities, and more recently on the socio-economic impact of technology (information society, artificial intelligence). In March 2024, he opened the exhibition of Munkácsy Prize-winning artist Erzsébet Lieber at the Vaszary Gallery in Kaposvár, with the speech published here.
