Design Variations in Marketing
Keywords:

In the study, I deal with object series. I distinguish seven series types, which appear differently within the brands. To organize them, I mainly use the criteria system of marketing. I make a distinction between collection, series and model, I present the appearance and use of buying personas created by brands for products. The advantage of the series used by brands is that the design becomes personal and closer to the consumer. The disadvantage is that marketing takes over the initiative role from the designers who are otherwise supposed to think in pure ideas. The more character-like, more relatable objects can become real companions in everyday life, while we can suspect that we are just tools and victims of marketing tricks.
