About the Journal

The journal called 'Anyanyanyelvi Kultúraközvetítés' (Mediation of Hungarian Language Culture) was founded in 2012, and restarted in 2019 after several years of hiatus.
This is an international peer-reviewed journal. It is published twice a year: Summer/July and Winter/December. 

Aims:
The periodical aims to announce the scientific studies related to the education and reaserch of Hungarian as a mother tongue to a wide audience, especially researchers and educators.

Scope:
The scope of the 'Anyanyelvi Kulturaközvetítés' consists of the following subject areas: literature and linguistics, reading culture and reading research, listening education, speaking education, reading education, writing education and grammar teaching.
The periodical publishes original research articles with qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods, and review articles that cover the literature in a comprehensive manner, and reviews of specialist books.

Publication language of the journal is mainly Hungarian with titels, abstracts and keywords in English.

Review process:
Blind or Anonymous Peer Review: Content is reviewed by external reviewers and the author’s identity is unknown to the reviewer. A double-blind peer-review process is where both the reviewer and the author remain anonymous throughout the process. The process ensures that reviewers are independent of the authors, i.e. not affiliated with the same institution.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of Open Access.
