Mobil @work devices and applications in EU and Hungary

Abstract

Mobil@work plays an increasingly important role in the world and defines many aspects of life. Rapid development of IT (Information Technology) and mobile communication has already formed the basis of efficient @work. To determine the Hungarian situation of mobile work it is advisable to look over its international range first. After examining the domestic and international situation we will inspect mobile tools. Accessories needed for teleworking are already available. We have to compare the technical possibilities of available tools and the demands of mobile work, and investigate the factors we should keep in mind when choosing from these tools. Today only an insignificant proportion of the able-bodied population has basic computer skills in Hungary - this should also be taken into consideration when thinking about the applicability of mobile work. So developers of mobile work applications should pay attention to the technical limits of tools and create applications that are easy to use. One should not judge tools of mobile work on the basis of their capabilites but also on the costs of acquisition and use, because these crucial factors influence the speed at which these tools and services are spreading.
