The AMI@Netfood EU IST SSA project strategic research agenda for agri-food sector
Keywords:
ambient intelligence, informatics, research, developmentAbstract
The concept of Ambient Intelligence (AmI) provides a wide-ranging vision on how the Information Society will develop. The wide variety of business activities (agroproduction, processing industries, retailers, logistics companies, regulatory bodies, consumers) including a huge participation of mobile users and workers covering the supply chain "from the farm to the fork" require obviously the approach described as networked businesses. There is no other sector in which the relations between citizens, business and governments, as well as the relations between regions (regional - local food richness and variety) and global market have that growing importance and complexity as in the agri-food sector. The aim of the AmI@Netfood project is to create an RTD roadmap for research and development activities for agri-food sector.
