ELASA 2008

Abstract

AT THE ELASA 2006 (European Landscape Architecture Students Association) meeting in Versailles the students of the Faculty of Landscape Architecture, Corvinus University of Budapest have won the opportunity to organise the ELASA2008 conference.
We started the organisation of the 2008 ELASA International Landscape Conference with many professional advertisements in Hungary and at abroad. We sent out our posters all over Europe to about 50 universities. In Hungary we wrote articles at professional joumals (4D Journal of Landscape Architecture and Garden History, Journal of Nice Gardens), published at the internet portai of Tagszem (atelier of landscape architects) and the Fórum of Architects, too. Owing to the good preparations 46 foreign students from 15 countries have arrived to the Hungárián conference. During 13 days we have showed to the participants the most interesting úrban and rural landscapes, sceneries and somé valuable sites of Hungárián landscape design. At seven main locations in the country the conference programs were formed by the local needs and alsó by the humán and natural resources.
