Absztrakt

A tanulmány 12 spanyol őshonos, illetve megőrzésre váró szarvasmarha jellemzőit mutatja be. A szerzők ismertetik az egyes fajták származását, elterjedését, színét, súlyát és magasságát. Leírják a fajták FAO szerinti besorolását, valamint rávilágítanak a vizsgált fajták napjainkban történő hasznosítására is. A tanulmány második részében, a megvédendő spanyol szarvasmarhafajtákkal foglalkozó kutatómunkák eredményeit összegzik, a genetikai, a takarmányozási, a hústermelési és a húsminőségi témakörben.
