Development in animal welfare – sustainable cattle production
Keywords:
cattle, technology, sustainable development, animal welfare, ethicsAbstract
According to research experiences, technological shortcomings, adaptation disorders of animals and changes in consumer and ethical needs could account for improvement in animal welfare and development of animal friendly breeding, transportation and slaughter technologies. Producing methods and utilizations with different intensity and legislation must be considered.
Developments must include clarification of relationships of customer, ethic and economic factors, introduction of effective programs in education, information and poll management and finally sharing the sources for animal welfare projects.
