Some behaviours related to the main traits and their importance in domesticated cattle
Keywords:
ethology, cattle, heriditary behavioursAbstract
The behaviours of animals were divided into two parts: the heriditary and the learned forms. In this article we are dealing with the (innate) behaviours related to the main productive and reproductive traits (e.g. beef production). Grazing and herd skills (mainly the heifers and beef cattle), socialization readiness (group keeping technology in any age), different sexual forms, nursing of offspring and the bad habits are involved in this subject. This phenomenon was also typical of the aurochs (Bos t. primigenius) (Kovács, 2007).
