Statistical analysis of fire rescues between 1998 and 2006 in Somogy county

Abstract

Beside effective and professional firefighting and the rescuing activity it is very important to dokument it, because this will be the database of law, of the Alerting and Rescuing Plans and of the planning the budget of fire services. For the dokumentation it is needed to make an integrate data collecting system. The purpose of this is the help for fire service decisions and for evaluate of the acitvity of fire services. It is important to change the experiences nationwide and to discuss the local problems and solutions. My purpose was to analyse the data and to draw the inference. I prospect for what influences the number of losses in several town. I used the data of Fire and Rescue Reports in the last nine year (1998–2006) happened losses in Somogy County. I study the data changing annually, and the complete losses of the nine year townly. After that I get apart the fires and the rescues, and inside of this I divided three subgroups (both of place of fires and types of rescue). After analysing all data I compared the losses of towns with their area and their population by the data of KSH 2005. I illustrated the data in map with the help of informatic system.
