The aim of the study was the evaluation of small plot-sized long-period researches by remote sensing. We examined two sites in the Hungarian Great Plain, where small parceled long-period researches are being set. By the analysis of remotely sensed images we defined the most often used remote sensed data sources, the usability of them in the case of the small parcel-sizes. During our research, we took near-field (0,5–3 m) photos in low flying height (300–500 m) by TETRACAM ADC multispectral (3 channels) camera. We analyzed the geometric accuracy of the images taken by the camera and made the geometric transformation of these images. We made high resolution images (0,4–0,6 m) from the photos, which were taken form low flying height (300–500 m). We calibrated them by using ground control points. We made overlay and biomass researches during the terrain sampling, and we compared the pointwise data of them with the images. We calculated NDVI during the multispectral analysis and we compared it with the Leaf Area Index (LAI), stem height and grain mass, which have been measured during the sampling.
