The need to broaden the range of landscape planning tools

Despite the fact that in 2008 the European Landscape Convention statutorily entered into force in Hungary, Hungarian landscape planning practice lacks the legislative definition which would reflect professional consensus on a significant number of concepts relating to landscape and landscape planning; these include a multidimensional toolkit which would be suitable for the planning and realisation of interventions appropriate not only for the protecting of our landscapes, but also for our societal goals.
